The 687 issue of Batman answers all the questions that you might have had at the end of Battle for the Cowl. Although the issues lacks continuity but the way Dick Grayson has been handled really stands out in this issue.
The issue starts with a great flashback. Robin sets up a trap for Batman and Alfred in the batcave and manages to surprise them. The entire scene is depicted beautifully and gives us the taste of their timeless duo. Coming back to the present time, Alfred is seen mourning the loss of Bruce.
