The second issue of Reborn, written by Ed Brubaker brings Steve Rogers back in the limelight. Following the unexpected climax revelation of the first issue, this issue provides all the necessary explanation related to the whereabouts of Steve Rogers.

Brubaker has built Bucky into a convincing character and as an effective substitute for Rogers. By doing so, Brubaker has created a great deal of uncertainty among the fans who are not sure whether they want to witness the real Captain America in action again. The reaction has also created a dilemma for Brubaker whether or not he would bring back Captain America.

The second issue is full of action and Brubaker’s work forces readers to think that Captain America may be coming back. The readers can also expect to find some old villains from Captain America and revisit some unforgettable moments in his past. The interesting part of the story in this issue is that as Rogers travels around in time, readers also have a chance to see the present Captain America and know what is his group of partners are up to. The characters fight Osborn and the dark avengers and it really feels odd to see them running free without any care in the Marvel universe.

The issue expectedly features some major plot developments which include the cliffhanger. The issue promises to be far more interesting for those readers who have been regular readers of Brubaker’s work than those who have just read these two issues. This issue also does away with the deception of the death of Rogers and arises a great sense of anticipation among the fans for the next issue

Marvel comics created a huge hype as it launched volume 600 of Captain America shipping, it well in advance. The book celebrates the character of Captain America and is a continuation of the classic run on the character by Ed Brubaker. Marvel expects a great response from the readers. The Captain America has a huge content and is available at a very low price.

The book starts with the Alex Ross’s version of the origin of Captain America. The main theme of the story is that Brubaker takes a check on the key characters a year after the death of the original Captain America who is Steve Rogers. Sharon Carter recalls the day Steve dies and this leads to her finding an important clue about his death. Brubaker has also checked in on the supporting characters of Patriot, the evil Red Skull, Crossbones and Sin and all Captain America’s friends in the Avengers. The USP of this edition is the fact that Bucky has a belief that Steve can be saved and this is the most interesting part about this issue.

There are several other great stories as well in this issue including 1980s Captain America and also the story written by Mark Waid in which Captain America’s memorabilia is auctioned off and its effect on the winners. The issue has a reprint from the “Captain America comics” no. 16 titled “The Red Skull’s Deadly Revenge” and an essay which pays tribute to the 1940s origins of the character. The great issue ends with the cover gallery of Captain America through the ages.
