Superman/Batman: Torment TPB Review

Superman 38 001 The TBP or trade paperback review of issues 37 38 39 40 41 42 of the Superman/Batman: Torment is fairly well perceived in the story format and is quite an interesting read. The story is reasonably decent and the anguish portrayed is good to read. It was, in fact, a pleasure to read the torment editions.

The art by Dustin Nguyen is remarkable as always. The super hero who actually seems to be in torment in the story is Superman. On the other hand, Batman is more into action than anything else.

1299817679_cvr Jeff Lemire’s did a decent work in terms of the story, but in this issue of Superboy, he tried to put too much of an effort to create the world of Smallville around the lead character. The issue mixes portions of Superboy’s worlds, which brings the Teen Titans to Smallville. Though it looks to be a lot of drama, however, it is quite charming as a tribute to the Silver Age.

The art by Pier Gallo is also not up to the mark for the issue. In fact, since the beginning of this series, the art of Gallo has been on and off as far as its creativity is concerned. In the first issue, it was too good, whereas the next issue was quite unpleasing.

LOTDK conspirecy The Batman – Conspiracy from DC comics is a set of two creative and interesting story lines. These are some of the popular stories published long back, the detective 821 and the Legends of the Dark Knight 86 – 88. These two stories have peculiar feel of detective and suspense coming from the popular and one of the best comic book artist, J. H. Williams III.

1297396123_cvr If you have followed all the issues of the X-Factor series on a monthly basis, you would admit that overall the series has been quite interesting, except for a few frustrating issues at times. The book excites the readers with lot of interesting anecdote in one issue, whereas, the next issue becomes raw and uninteresting.

However, the latest issue of marvel comics’ X-Factor #215 has so far been the most interesting of the series, especially after it came back from hiatus at the #200 issue.
