The Dark X-Men: The Beginning, in its three series will let you know how each and every member in Norman Osborn’s X-Men team became members of his group. You know before hand that the characters or members are by any hook or crook going to join the group which kills the excitement or suspense of the story. By now most of you must have already gone through two issues and six stories. But as the issues are increasing, it is getting boring and boring. Every time you see the same discussions and approaches of Osborn.

In the first story you see Osborn talking to Cloak and Dagger where he gives reasons as to why two non-mutants can be X-Men and the reasons make some sense. The other two stories show you the Weapon Omega and Daken, the Dark Wolverine. But there reasons of joining the group fails to make any sense. It is also shown how Weapon Omega was first featured in “New Avengers” and shows us the reasons of his joining the group. Here you can see the beautiful art done by Michel Lacombe. Similarly the story of Daken was not up to the mark. All it showed was how similar he was to his father. What cannot be understood is why he has been featured in the both Dark Avengers and Dark X-Men.

The conclusion is that the Dark X-Men: The Beginning fails to give any kind of reasoning. None of the stories give you enough proof for their joining the group.
