Recently the Batman series’ latest issue “Streets of Gotham” Volume 12 has had a lot of issues. But, in spite of these off the scene issues the latest from the Batman series is fairly entertaining. Dini, Fridolfs and Nguyen succeed in giving us a great experience, thanks largely to Carpenter. The carpenter portrays a villain and is perfect for exploration and that is what they have given as she gets solo and inks a deal with a new client.
The interesting thing about this issue is that the narration by the carpenter is both the strength as well as the weakness of the book. She comes across as a character that has a very funny perspective on things and it makes it a fascinating read. The way she reasons her quitting the Wonderland Gang is absolute comic and her indecisiveness provides a much needed edginess to the storyline.
The real lows in this issue are the dialogues of Fridolfs and Nguyen. Their dialogues are a bit too fancy for a book that is dark and full of bad guys. However, this drawback is very well covered by the fact the plot is very good and even with some lackluster dialogues it still remains a very good read.
Even though the carpenter portrays a negative character she looks quite cute. This is definitely a very interesting and entertaining book. The characters look perfect and the storyline is very strong. The cover of the book is an absolute beauty and does justice to the book.
